When it comes to the role of architects, it’s far more effective to educate them on the uses and application of a product as opposed to pushing extra features and benefits. At Koydol, we seek to educate and advise architects, as well as answer their questions about a material so that they can make the most informed decisions when considering products.

 The Facts  

Research conducted a few years ago by the publishers of Building Magazine found that 74% of architects involve specialist contractors in product or material selection. Further research conducted by RIBA Enterprises last year found that 55% of architects consider that collaboration with the contractor on a specification reduced errors. Research conducted by Competitive Advantage amongst a group of specialist interior contractors in 2009 also found high proportions were involved in advising architects.

 Our Approach  

Koydol staff members become part of the design solution. We familiarize ourselves with a prospective project to fully understand its needs and parameters, and then prepare a comprehensive and competitive proposal for the architect. We also frequently run CPD seminars and events for architects and designers to further their technical knowledge.
